On Monday, March 16, 2020 the Benton Area School Board took action to terminate participation in the Articles of Agreements with the Columbia Montour Area Vocational Technical School. The School Board Secretary sent letters to the Vo-Tech Director and Business Manager stating our intentions.

Letter to Parents for the Lycoming Career and Technical Center
The Benton Area School District Board of Directors is exploring vocational and technical options for the 2020-2021 school year. Students entering 10th grade will have the option to attend the Lycoming Career and Technology Center (LycoCTC) in Hughesville. LycoCTC offers a part-time, two- hour a day vocational program that prepares students for college, military service, and workforce. Click 'Read More' for the full letter.

Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late. With Safe2Say Something, it’s easy and confidential to report safety concerns to help prevent violence and tragedies.

With a Sapphire Community account you can submit required forms online, view your student's progress in classes, and much more. Choose the Sapphire Login under the Quick Links drop down at the top of the page. From there choose the Community Portal option and then click on 'Create a Web Portal account' to get started.
