Our district has embarked on a School-wide Positive Behavior Support Program for students in grades K-12. The
purpose and intent of the program is to foster and encourage positive
behavior among our students through a variety of ways. Teachers and
staff members have been trained and, in turn, are training and
re-training the students.
When
students are noticed exhibiting exemplary positive behavior, they are
issued a "tiger-ticket" by the noticing staff member or bus-driver.
Students who receive a tiger ticket are then eligible for prize drawings
where they can choose from a variety of prize options. Tiger ticket
recipients also are given verbal praise and encouragement for exhibiting
positive behavior in our school. Additionally, all students who have
earned at least one tiger ticket and have not had any office referrals
are invited to attend a special rewards activity that will occur around
the end of each quarter. This may include outside play time, a special
movie, classroom fun activities, a school dance, or other fun events
that the PBS Committee may decide upon.
We are proud of the
efforts our students are making to be positive members of the school
community and encourage every student to be tiger ticket winners!
