There will be a financial aid night for parents of seniors hosted at the Millville High School on November 4, 2024 at 5:30 pm. A PHEAA Representative will be presenting and answering your questions on financial aid.
All students in Kindergarten-12th Grade are participating in an emergency evacuation drill at approximately 9:00 this morning. If you see students on the streets of Benton this morning, please know that they are just participating in an evacuation drill. There is no need for alarm.

May Day will take place on Wednesday, May 22nd starting at 1:00 p.m. This year's theme is "Dancing Through the Decades". The students have been working very hard to put on an entertaining program for the community. We look forward to seeing you there!
Congratulations to Michael Fritz for winning the bronze medal in the 3200 meter race at the D4 Track Championships. Michael has now qualified for the PIAA state championships at Shippensburg University this weekend.

On Wednesday April 10, the Benton Area School District inducted this year's students into the National Junior Honor Society during the evening's ceremony. Congratulations to all those who earned this honor!
On Monday April 8th the Benton Area School District will be dismissing early starting at 1:00 so that all students have the opportunity to experience the entirety of the Solar Eclipse. This rare event will not happen again for another 20 years. We encourage all families to enjoy this event safely and use proper viewing precautions. We will be providing information and resources to students to enhance this unique educational experience.

Unfortunately, we have experienced two incidents in as many weeks where we had to react to information that referenced our school or students and the potential threat of weapons or violence. These were unrelated incidents. Both have been thoroughly investigated and thankfully neither were credible threats. When faced with these situations, we prioritize student safety and try to pass on as much accurate information as we can as these situations unfold, but it is important to inform without inciting. These are difficult situations, and we appreciate the cooperation of students, staff, law enforcement, parents, and the community as we work together to keep everyone safe. Parents, please take time this weekend to talk to your children about what they say to others and what is not appropriate to say even if joking.
An incident was reported to the district that there was a vaguely made threat by email late last night. This threat is still being investigated, but we believe that all students in our care are safe. Out of an abundance of caution, all students in the middle/high school went through the metal detectors and bags were searched. Students were very patient and cooperative during this process. The school district would like to thank everyone for their cooperation and support.
